Hands are susceptible to the first signs of aging and often age even faster than the face because the skin on the hands is much thinner than the skin of the face. The normal aging process (enhanced by sun exposure) will cause the collagen and elastin fibres of the skin to break down, causing crepe-like skin texture and more noticeable veins (which do tend to bulge with time). We often forget about protecting the backs of the hands when driving or enjoying the outdoors, and over time brown spots occurs.
